    Look in your local phone book for antique stores or coin dealers.

    Take it to your nearest coin dealer and ask for an appraisal. They will give you an informal appraisal for free. If it is valuable, you may want a written appraisal, which may cost a few bucks. But before you sell it, you should get appraisals from 2 or 3 dealers to make sure you get the best price.
