How can I find out the value of a small antique desk with pull-out stool?

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009
Just Asking asked:

It appears to be made of a dark wood, brown or mahogany. Has a built-in pencil holder on desk’s top area. May originally have had a roll down top (drilled hole on left and right side of the desk’s top area. Matching stool pulls out easily and is sturdy (for sitting on). Estimate it to be made in the mid to late 1800’s. Appears to be professionally constructed.

How do I “antique” my yellow gold kitchen paint color?

rz asked:

I have a very flat (looking) gold yellow color in my kitchen and it’s just not what I hoped for. It’s really corny and kiddish looking. I have stainless steel appliances and reddish orange brown cabinets and butcher block countertops and red and green and orange accents (art, bowls etc). I want it tuscan looking so what kind of paint do I need to buy or how do I even do it?
I want to paint the walls not cabinets
