How can I give black coloured metal ornaments a rusty antique look?

Sunday, November 29th, 2009
Fly Girl. asked:

They are candle holders but they are black and I want them to match the room they are in. The colours in the room are beige and burgundy and the furniture are of a dark oak colour, all of wood. I don’t know if those details make any difference because I’ve never decorated any thing, I’m hoping to make this my first project ever.

My husband inherited some antique furniture. What is the best way to sell it?

Mandy and Melanie asked:

Some of the furniture is from around 1890, but most pieces are not that old. Some of the pieces are very nice, others have been refinished, which I am aware will lower the value.

I bought a lot of old print blocks at an antique mall. I would like to display them. How?

Gemma asked:

These are print blocks with old adverts on them. I have at least 100, but it is not necessary to use them all in a single display. Thanks for your suggestions!

We are redecorating our kitchen and need a company that specializes in replicas of antique appliances?

Monday, September 28th, 2009
cutetrio2002 asked:

I love the look of older kitchens, say circa 1900-1930, but the actual antique appliances are so expensive. Just looking at the refurbished ranges I almost fainted! They are priced at $3500-12,500, a little out of our price range. Does anyone know of a company that has replicas of antique appliances?
